The Knox County Public Schools (KCPS) respect the privacy of our students, their families, staff, and web site visitors. We use the information you provide to better serve you, but we also recognize that this information belongs to you and that we must treat it accordingly. The following statement spells out our privacy policy in more detail. The policy applies to the Knox County Public Schools district and school websites, including but not limited to www.knoxkyschools.com, and other sites on the World Wide Web owned and operated by KCPS. If there are material changes to this policy in the future, information concerning any such change will be posted on this webpage.

This website collects personal data to power our site analytics, including information about your browser, network, and device; web pages you visited prior to coming to this website; and your IP address.

OUR USE OF “COOKIES”

KCPS may place an electronic “cookie” in the browser files of a guest’s computer. Any information that you provide to KCPS or that is obtained through this website may be used by KCPS. We will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to commercial entities. KCPS will not otherwise disclose your name, address, email address or phone number without your express consent, unless disclosure is necessary to comply with laws or relevant legal proceedings.

When you submit information to this website via webform, we collect the data requested in the webform in order to track and respond to your submissions. We share this information with our online hosting provider so that they can provide website services to us. We may also share this information with Google for storage.

As a courtesy, KCPS may provide links to other sites that are neither owned nor controlled by KCPS. Some of these sites may use the KCPS logo. The privacy of communication over the Internet cannot be guaranteed because the Internet is not a secure medium. KCPS does not assume any responsibility for any harm, loss, or damage you may experience or incur by the sending of personal or confidential information over the Internet by or to KCPS.

MARKETING EMAILS

We may send you marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share your contact information with Squarespace and Smore so they can send these emails on our behalf. Please see their sites for privacy details.

WEB PLUG-INS AND FONTS

This website serves font files from and renders fonts using Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. To properly display this site to you, these third parties may receive personal information about you, including information about your browser, network, or device, information about this site and the page you’re viewing on it and your IP address.
