Under investigation at GR Hampton: Students in Mrs. Gray’s class took a close look at plant structures used for reproduction.

Lynn Camp Elementary’s 4th grade engineers took on the Apple Tower Challenge. With 3 sheets of paper, 12” tape, and 20 minutes, they collaborated to build a freestanding structure 12”+ high to hold an apple for 10 seconds.

Jessica Wahlstedt's 3rd grade class at Flat Lick took a virtual zoo field trip. They acted as zoologist comparing and contrasting different animals based on their physical characteristics and environments.

A matter of precision for Knox Central chemistry students as they weighed and measured post its, paper clips, and debit cards/licenses learning about accuracy.

Mrs. Lane’s 4th grade class at Girdler used their desks to construct place value charts. Students utilized place value disks to build multi-digit numbers and visually map out multi-digit addition.

All hands on with a pumpkin dissection activity at Lynn Camp to explore and identify the reproductive structures of a flowering plant. By examining the pumpkin and its seeds, students were able to further their understanding of plant reproduction and the functions of flower structures.
