Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!
On behalf of the faculty, staff, and Board of Education, I would like to welcome you to the Knox County Public Schools.
As I enter my fourth year as superintendent, I am reminded of the importance of “one“. For the past three years we have included “One Child at a Time” in our mission statement to remind us that every child matters and that we must tailor our instruction to fit the needs of each individual student. This year, I would like to expand on “one” to include everyone. Everyone plays a role in the Knox County school system, whether it is support staff or members of our community. Everyone has a voice. Some of the best conversations that I have are with our committees and while attending school and community events. Everyone has one idea. What is the one suggestion you have that will move Knox County to the top? One improvement can change the future of education forever. This year, I encourage everyone to be the one and to share the one so that Knox County Public Schools can be the number one school district in our region and our state.
Please explore our school district website and learn more about the programs and services that we offer to the students of Knox County. If you have questions, or want to get involved, please feel free to contact any of our staff for more information.
