Early Childhood Coordinator – Knox Promise Neighborhood (Corbin)
   

The early childhood coordinator (ECC) is a key, full-time position with the Partners for Education early childhood initiatives specifically within the Knox County Promise Neighborhood.  The ECC works closely with the school districts, early childhood providers, community partners and departmental staff, to design and implement strategies aimed at children and families from birth through kindergarten to ensure school readiness. Early Childhood Literacy Navigator (Owsley County & Knox County)
  

The Early Childhood Literacy Navigator (ECLN) is a key, full-time position with the Partners for Education early childhood initiatives specifically within the Appalachian Innovative Approaches to Literacy (IAL) Promise project.  The ECLN will work closely with the school districts, early childhood providers, partners and other departmental staff, to implement literacy strategies aimed at children and families from birth to Kindergarten to ensure school readiness.  This work includes timely and accurate data collection and serving as a liaison with early childhood providers and programs. Program Associate- Knox Promise Neighborhood (2 positions – Barbourville & Corbin)
  

This is a key full-time position in the Partners for Education department, with offices in Corbin and Barbourville. The program associate will manage program-related records and files, schedule meetings and events, coordinate data entry, monitor and track receipts for spending, purchase supplies, and provide office support to the program team.

 

Program Manager – Knox Promise Neighborhood (3 positions – 2 Barbourville and 1 Corbin)
   

The Promise Neighborhood Program Manager is a key, full-time leadership position with the Partners for Education (PFE) Promise Neighborhood initiative in Knox County.  The program manager will work closely with a school district (Knox County, Barbourville Independent, or Corbin Independent), other Berea PFE staff, and community partners. This work includes oversight of data collection by staff for summative and formative evaluation of initiatives and programs. Ensuring mutual accountability of results, the program manager will convene experts and partners to develop a comprehensive offering of in-school and out-of-school programs for children and youth, birth-career, and their families in the designated district. The program manager will ensure curriculum is implemented with fidelity; and evaluate results, making modifications as needed.  The program manager will ensure that best practices are followed in all programs, that evidence-based programs are implemented, and that curriculum implementation is monitored, making necessary program modifications. The PM will supervise Berea College Promise Neighborhood staff in the designated district, coordinating services within their area of the educational pipeline, ensuring seamless collaboration among all areas of the continuum. The PM will ensure that schools develop and implement well-balanced and effective plans for Promise Neighborhood cradle-to-career initiatives.

 

Program Manager Integration – Knox Promise Neighborhood (Corbin)
   

The Promise Neighborhood Program Manager–Integration is a key, full-time leadership position with the Partners for Education (PFE) Promise Neighborhood initiative in Knox County.  The program manager will work closely with the project director, vendors, and community partners, to build effective agreements and partnerships to advance the work of Promise Neighborhood cradle to career initiatives. The Project Manager is responsible for the implementation and integration of outreach and wraparound services, such as art, family engagement, wellness, safety and community service. Ensuring mutual accountability of results, the program manager will convene experts and partners to develop a comprehensive offering of in-school and out-of-school programs for children and youth, birth–career, and their families. The Program Manager will ensure that best practices are followed in all programs, that evidence-based programs are implemented, and that partners and programs are monitored, making necessary program modifications. The PM will collaborate with staff coordinating services within their area of the educational pipeline, ensuring seamless collaboration among all areas of the continuum. The PM will train school-based site coordinators and supervise the wellness and safety coordinator to ensure that wraparound services are implemented at the school level. The PM will ensure that schools develop and implement well-balanced and effective plans for Promise Neighborhood cradle-to-career initiatives.

Prior to Employment

Prior to being hired, candidates for employment are required to visit the Central Office to obtain and pay for background check and drug screening information. Your application will not be considered complete until a background check and drug screening is received. This information can be obtained Monday – Friday, 8am to 4pm, at 200 Daniel Boone Drive, Barbourville, KY.

All substitute applicants must complete a background check and drug screening check before their application will be finalized and hire approved.

New Employee Training

All new employees to the Knox County Public Schools must complete online training through the district’s iLearn system.  Acknowledgement of the employee code of conduct and training on district and state required content must be completed within thirty (30) days of the start date.
